Christmas Time, Mistletoe and....?

For me it’s mistletoe and fairy lights! Traditionally people believe that by hanging mistletoe in the back of the house during Christmas Eve, all the good fortune will come and the evil fortune will be removed from the house. There’s also the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe. The origins of this are unclear as mistletoe has been linked to many stories and traditions as far back as the Celtic druid and even Norse mythology.

Personally, for me, mistletoe reminds me of the happiness of Christmas time and I like the idea of it bringing good luck and fortune into a household, which is why I’ve used it in a few of my new Christmas Designs for 2021.

My mistletoe fairy lights have already proved popular this year, but here is more information about the different mistletoe decorations I have available:

Kiss me mistletoe Christmas wreath

Keeping with the playful saying of kissing under the mistletoe, this modern decorative fairy light is perfect for the home or as a gift this Christmas.

Mistletoe Fairy light string

For more traditional Christmas decorations around the house, or for a winter wedding, this mistletoe fairy light string is so versatile. It could be the perfect table decoration for Christmas dinner or used over a mantle to create a natural Christmas décor scheme.

Merry Christmas Mistletoe Wreath

Spread some festive cheer with this fairy light mistletoe wreath which can be placed above a mantle, in a window or on the front door.

The wreath has a modern feel with a hint towards the traditional.  Green leaves with soft white pom-poms with wire-wrapped writing in a choice of red or grey.

If mistletoe is not your thing, head to my website to check out my other Christmas fairy light decorations including holly and berry wreaths, tinsel lights and personalised star fairy lights.
